Tutoring Policies & Guidelines:
All of the above policies apply in addition to the following related to our tutoring services:
Parents can observe the lesson, but they do not participate in the lesson unless discussed beforehand. This promotes artistic independence and confidence among our students.
Payments:
Private art tutoring is a minimum of $100/hour. This includes all instruction, lesson preparation, and travel time. If you would like to invite friends to join the session it is $40 per student, with a minimum of $100. For example if two students participate the total is $100, but if three students participate the total is $120. We pre-bill for the first session. After that, sessions are billed on a monthly basis based on the agreed upon session dates. You will receive an invoice each month. We accept payments through Zelle (rachelle@drawntoart.org) and Venmo (@drawntoart). Payment needs to be made at least one day before the session.
Zelle is our preferred payment method. We do not offer refunds for cancellations or no-shows, as supplies have already been purchased and prepared. If you wish to adjust your schedule or discontinue tutoring please let your tutor know, email rachelle@drawntoart.org, or text Rachelle at 509-499-8899. If canceling please give us a month’s notice so that we can fill the spot.
The Sessions
Sessions range from 1-2 hours depending on the student’s age and art goals. The length of time is agreed upon by both parties. The lessons are customized to meet the unique goals and interests of the students. Depending on the goals, lessons may include a variety of mediums including painting on canvas, watercolors, oil pastels, chalk, and/or charcoal drawing. Lessons may also cover various art movements and famous artists. The tutor will customize each lesson based on observations and feedback.
Event Policies & Guidelines:
All of the above policies apply in addition to the following related to our events:
After requesting an art event, an estimate will be emailed to you. Please review it and either approve it or let us know if any changes need to be made. Once the estimate is approved you will send a non-refundable $100 deposit to save the date. Then, two days prior to the event we will email you for the final headcount. An invoice will be sent based on the headcount and due on the day of the event. You can choose to pay through the invoice or through Venmo (@drawntoart), check, or cash. If using credit, there is a $5 processing fee.

We do not offer refunds for no show guests as materials have already been purchased and prepared. If additional guests participate on the day of the event then we will add them to the invoice.
